FAQ: What is your general outlook on physical fitness?

I think we should all strive to have as many good years on Earth as possible. And I do mean good years – years that involve real enjoyment, exercising all of your senses. I don’t think we’re all meant to be the same size. I do think there is a healthy range for everyone and the barometer for it should be mobility. If your lifestyle affects your mobility, whether it’s climbing stairs when an elevator is broken or enjoying a walking tour of a new city, that’s what I consider a time to evaluate fitness. What I always come back to is that everyone is shaped differently; that’s what keeps it interesting. Don’t stress so much about how your shape compares to anyone else. As my mom always says, ‘Don’t be worrying about everyone else and just worry about yourself.’
